Description of the Tamadur Variety
The Tamadur variety is an Austrian spring durum wheat that offers stable yields, disease resistance, and adaptability to challenging conditions.
Features of the Tamadur Variety:
- Stable Yield: The average yield over the last five years was 20.6–30.7 q/ha, with a maximum yield reaching 36.9 q/ha.
- Excellent Pasta Quality: High protein content (13.7–14.3%) and vitreousness (90–92%) make this variety ideal for pasta production.
- Disease and Pest Resistance: High resistance to powdery mildew, brown rust, fusarium, root rot, harmful bugs, and Swedish flies.
- High Drought and Sprouting Resistance: The wheat withstands adverse weather conditions due to its strong stalk.
Seed Preparation Technology:
Before shipment, Tamadur seeds are processed using advanced Czech equipment:
- UV Treatment: Disinfection and sorting of seeds, removing infected, small, and empty grains.
- Ozone Treatment:
- Stimulates seeds, increasing germination energy and viability by up to 20%.
- Eliminates up to 97% of harmful microflora, pests, and pathogens.
The Tamadur variety was included in the state register in 2018 and is ideal for farmers aiming for consistent and high yields.
